Introduction
Facial red rashes accompanied by itching may be caused by various factors, such as allergic dermatitis, eczema, acne, etc. Generally, different treatment measures are required depending on the underlying cause. Meanwhile, it is important to avoid contact with substances that may cause allergies or irritation, maintain clean and dry skin, and avoid prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation to prevent the occurrence of facial skin disorders.

In general, red rashes accompanied by itching on the face may be caused by allergic dermatitis, eczema, acne, and other conditions. Different treatment approaches should be adopted depending on the underlying cause. Specific analyses are as follows:

1. Allergic Dermatitis

Red, itchy rashes on the face may result from allergic reactions triggered by food, medications, cosmetics, pollen, or other allergens. Under medical guidance, oral antihistamines such as loratadine tablets or cetirizine tablets can be taken to relieve allergic reactions and itching.

2. Eczema

Eczema may be caused by contact with irritants, dry skin, or ultraviolet radiation, leading to skin inflammation. As directed by a physician, topical treatments such as mometasone furoate gel, hydrocortisone butyrate ointment, or tacrolimus ointment may be used to alleviate itching and control inflammatory responses.

3. Acne

Recurrent facial acne may be due to infection with Propionibacterium acnes or Malassezia ovalis (formerly Pityrosporum ovale), which can lead to inflammatory papules in hair follicles and cause itching. Under a doctor's supervision, topical antifungal agents such as terbinafine cream or compound ketoconazole cream may be applied for treatment.

Besides the above, itchy red rashes on the face could also be caused by papular urticaria. If you develop red, itchy rashes on your face, it is recommended to seek timely medical evaluation and treatment. Additionally, avoid contact with substances that may trigger allergies or irritation, maintain clean and dry skin, and minimize prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light to help prevent facial skin disorders.
