Especially prone to sweating after entering autumn
Excessive sweating after the beginning of autumn may be caused by physiological or pathological factors, such as calcium deficiency, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, and other conditions.
I. Physiological Factors
After the beginning of autumn, temperature fluctuations are significant—high during the day and low at night. Wearing too much or too little clothing in response to these changes can easily lead to sweating.
II. Pathological Factors
1. Calcium Deficiency
Calcium deficiency can cause nervous system overactivity, leading to excessive sweating, particularly night sweats. Increasing outdoor physical activity and sun exposure can promote calcium absorption. Additionally, calcium supplements such as calcium lactate capsules, calcium gluconate oral solution, or calcium carbonate tablets may be taken under a doctor’s guidance. Taking these with vitamin D enhances effectiveness.
2. Hyperthyroidism
In patients with hyperthyroidism, elevated levels of thyroid hormones increase sympathetic nervous system activity and metabolic rate, resulting in excess heat production. This often causes symptoms such as heat intolerance and excessive sweating. Treatment may include medications like propylthiouracil tablets, propylthiouracil enteric-coated capsules, or methimazole tablets, as directed by a physician.
3. Diabetes
Long-term high blood glucose levels in diabetic patients can lead to microvascular damage, which affects the nervous system and may result in increased sweating, especially in the upper body. Medications such as metformin sustained-release tablets, glimepiride tablets, or glipizide tablets should be used according to medical advice.
Besides the above, tuberculosis can also cause symptoms of night sweats and heat sensations.
