Introduction
Bleeding after intercourse generally indicates cervical erosion of degree II or higher. Cervical erosion refers to inflammation of the mucosal tissue on the surface of the cervix, manifesting as redness, swelling, or erosion on the cervical surface. Main symptoms include increased vaginal discharge, blood-tinged discharge, pain during sexual intercourse, and bleeding, which may even lead to infertility. It is important to maintain personal hygiene, change and wash underwear frequently, and follow a light diet in daily life.

Common causes include frequent sexual activity, multiple sexual partners, poor nutrition, and low immunity.

Whether cervical erosion causes bleeding depends on the severity, depth, and extent of the erosion. Typically, grade II or higher cervical erosion may result in bleeding after intercourse, as post-coital bleeding could be due to bacterial infection causing swelling and congestion of the cervix. In severe cases, bleeding may occur even without intercourse, and the amount of bleeding correlates with the affected area, although it is usually not excessive.

If diagnosed with cervical erosion, it is recommended to seek timely medical treatment at a hospital and undergo laser surgery under a doctor's guidance. Daily attention should be paid to personal hygiene, including frequently changing and washing underwear, and maintaining a light diet.
