Introduction
Patients with myocarditis are not necessarily prohibited from vigorous exercise for life; the decision should be based on the extent of cardiac function impairment. In severe myocarditis, where cardiac function is significantly compromised, vigorous exercise is generally not recommended, as it may trigger arrhythmias during physical activity and potentially worsen the condition. However, in mild myocarditis, once the patient has fully recovered without any residual cardiac dysfunction, appropriate vigorous exercise may be permitted.

In general, whether patients with myocarditis can never engage in strenuous exercise depends on the extent of cardiac function impairment. The specific analysis is as follows:

1. Cannot perform strenuous exercise

Myocarditis is a disease primarily characterized by localized or diffuse inflammatory lesions in the myocardium. In cases of severe myocarditis with significant impairment of cardiac function, strenuous exercise is generally not recommended. This is because arrhythmias may occur during intense physical activity, potentially worsening the condition or even leading to sudden cardiac death.

2. Can perform strenuous exercise

In mild cases of myocarditis, if after recovery there are no residual complications such as abnormal heart function, cardiac enlargement, or arrhythmias, patients may gradually resume strenuous exercise according to their individual condition.

In daily life, myocarditis patients should maintain a balanced diet, ensure adequate nutrition, maintain a positive mindset, avoid anxiety and stress, and have regular follow-up examinations at the hospital, all of which contribute to effective disease management.
