Introduction
Heart failure, clinically known as cardiac insufficiency, is a serious condition in which patients may experience symptoms such as shortness of breath and difficulty breathing. Some patients may report a distinct feeling of pressure in the chest. Additionally, heart failure can lead to impaired cardiac function and cause edema, manifesting as abdominal enlargement and neck swelling. Prompt hospitalization and medical treatment are necessary.

Generally, heart failure refers to the condition in which the heart is unable to function properly. When the disease becomes severe, main symptoms include shortness of breath, chest tightness, edema, etc. A detailed analysis is as follows:

  1. Shortness of breath

Heart failure affects normal cardiac function, causing patients to experience rapid or labored breathing, especially noticeable at night or upon waking in the morning. Difficulty breathing may occur during heavy physical labor or excessive fatigue. Lung auscultation with a stethoscope may reveal distinct crackles or wheezing sounds.

  2. Chest tightness

A small number of patients may feel significant chest pressure, and symptoms such as chest pain can persist continuously.

  3. Edema

Heart failure impairs normal heart function, leading to cardiac insufficiency, which in turn causes edema. Some patients may notice abdominal swelling or thickening of the neck.

Severe heart failure can significantly affect a patient's health and requires prompt hospitalization. Doctors will develop a scientific treatment plan based on the patient's specific condition.
