Introduction
Fever refers to an elevated body temperature. Whether pulmonary nodules can cause fever depends on their nature. If the lung nodule results from granulomatous proliferation or fibrous tissue proliferation following healed tuberculosis, the condition is usually stable and does not cause fever. However, if the nodule arises from lung tissue fibrosis due to pneumonia and has not been treated promptly, it commonly leads to fever.

Fever usually refers to an elevated body temperature. Whether pulmonary nodules can cause fever depends on the nature of the nodule, with specific analysis as follows:

1. No

If pulmonary nodules result from granulomatous hyperplasia or fibrous tissue proliferation due to self-repair after tuberculosis has healed, the condition is typically stable and does not cause fever.

2. Yes

If nodules form due to lung tissue fibrosis caused by pneumonia and are not treated promptly, fever may occur. Inflammatory stimulation can affect the pleural cavity and lead to pleural effusion, which, if not effectively drained from the body, may result in fever.

Patients with pulmonary nodules are advised to seek medical evaluation and appropriate diagnostic tests to determine the underlying cause and receive targeted treatment.
