Introduction
The chance of pregnancy is relatively high when having intercourse during the ovulation period. For women with regular menstrual cycles and couples in good physical health, the likelihood of conception during this phase is increased. However, pregnancy is influenced by many factors; conditions such as blocked fallopian tubes, multiple uterine fibroids, or oligospermia can all affect fertility. Therefore, having intercourse during ovulation does not guarantee pregnancy.

Pregnancy is more likely during ovulation, but it is not 100% guaranteed. The specific analysis is as follows:

Ovulation typically refers to the period when a mature follicle develops and releases an egg, which can survive in the fallopian tube for 1–2 days. For women with regular menstrual cycles and couples in good physical health, the likelihood of pregnancy is higher if intercourse occurs during this phase and the egg successfully combines with normal sperm. However, many factors can affect conception, such as blocked fallopian tubes, multiple uterine fibroids, or low sperm count (oligospermia). Therefore, pregnancy is not guaranteed even with intercourse during ovulation.

Couples who do not intend to conceive should use appropriate contraception during the ovulation period. If pregnancy does not occur after prolonged attempts, it is advisable to visit a hospital for further evaluation, identify the underlying cause, and receive appropriate treatment.
