Introduction
Vitamin B deficiency can be diagnosed by observing personal symptoms, measuring vitamin B levels in the blood, and riboflavin testing. Since there are various types of vitamin B, additional methods such as urinary 4-pyridoxic acid measurement may also be used. If a vitamin B deficiency is detected, it is important to improve nutrition appropriately; in severe cases, active cooperation with medical treatment prescribed by a doctor is also necessary.

Deficiency in vitamin B complex can be determined through observing personal symptoms, measuring blood levels of vitamin B, riboflavin testing, and other methods. The specific analysis is as follows:

1. Observing personal symptoms

The vitamin B complex includes various types. A deficiency in vitamin B1 typically presents with symptoms such as fatigue, muscle soreness, decreased appetite, and orthopnea. A deficiency in vitamin B2 may lead to severe manifestations including angular cheilitis, conjunctival congestion, and seborrheic dermatitis. A lack of vitamin B6 may result in symptoms such as tiredness, skin erythema, and insomnia.

2. Blood vitamin B level testing

Under medical guidance, patients can undergo blood tests to measure vitamin B levels. If the test results show vitamin B1 levels below 40 μg/L, it indicates a deficiency in vitamin B1. Similarly, if vitamin B12 levels are below 73.8 pmol/mL, it suggests a deficiency in vitamin B12.

3. Riboflavin testing

Patients may also follow medical advice to perform riboflavin testing. A reduced riboflavin level indicates a deficiency in vitamin B2.

In addition to the above methods, urinary 4-pyridoxic acid testing can also be used. If a deficiency in the vitamin B complex is detected, appropriate nutritional supplementation is necessary. In severe cases, active cooperation with medical treatment is also required.
