Introduction
In general, double eyelids can be formed by applying lubricant and repeatedly wiping or rolling the eyelid near the base of the eyelashes. First, wash your hands thoroughly to prevent bacteria from entering the eyes. Then, gently and evenly apply an appropriate amount of lubricant to both the upper and lower eyelids to reduce excessive friction between the fingers and eyelids. Be careful to avoid getting the lubricant into the eyes to prevent discomfort.

Generally, double eyelids can be temporarily created by applying lubricant, repeatedly scraping the eyelids, and circularly massaging near the base of the eyelashes. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Apply Lubricant

First, wash your hands thoroughly to prevent bacteria from entering the eyes. Then, gently and evenly apply an appropriate amount of lubricant to the upper and lower eyelids to reduce excessive friction between the hands and eyelids. Be careful not to let the lubricant seep into the eyes, which may cause discomfort.

2. Repeatedly Scrape the Eyelids

Place your thumb on the temple for stability, then use the fleshy part of your index finger to gently scrape the upper and lower eyelids in a single direction 50–60 times. This helps gradually relax the eyelid muscles.

3. Circular Massage Near the Base of the Lashes

Finally, use the fingertips of both hands to perform circular motions along the upper eyelid close to the lash line, gradually forming a crease that creates the appearance of a double eyelid.

However, the formation of double eyelids is primarily determined by genetics. Massage techniques can only create a temporary effect. Individuals seeking double eyelids may also consider using eyelid tape, non-incision (suture) blepharoplasty, or incisional double eyelid surgery. Note that manually creating double eyelids carries certain risks; it is recommended to consult a medical professional and opt for safer, clinically proven methods.
