Surgical procedure for axillary osmidrosis excision
Axillary osmidrosis excision surgery is performed under routine disinfection and local anesthesia, targeting the pores in the armpit area for individual destruction, thereby blocking the openings of apocrine sweat gland ducts and achieving permanent hair removal. The procedure must be conducted at a正规 hospital. The specific steps are as follows:
1. The patient lies supine on the operating table with arms abducted 90°. Local anesthesia is administered to the axillary region, followed by routine disinfection and draping.
2. A vertical incision of 2.5–3 cm is made along the axillary hair growth area. The skin is separated from the subcutaneous tissue, and then a curette or scraper is used to thoroughly scrape in various directions—up, down, forward, and backward—to completely remove fatty tissue and destroy hair follicles and apocrine sweat glands.
3. The wound is sutured and ligated, with a rubber drainage strip inserted and compression dressing applied. The drainage strip is removed the following day.
Postoperatively, antibiotics are prescribed to prevent infection. During recovery, patients should consume high-calorie, high-protein, and high-vitamin foods, especially those rich in vitamin C.
