Introduction
Nasal polypectomy is primarily performed using endoscopic sinus surgery. The nasal endoscope is inserted through the anterior nares into the nasal cavity and sinuses, and a probe is used to identify the base of the nasal polyp. A polypectomy loop is then placed around the polyp's stalk, and the wire is tightened to completely remove the polyp. After surgery, the nasal area should be examined daily during dressing changes for bleeding and possible adhesions. If adhesions occur, they may be monitored for up to two weeks.

Generally, nasal polypectomy is primarily performed using endoscopic sinus surgery. The procedure should be carried out in a正规 hospital. The specific surgical steps are as follows:

1. Prior to surgery, the doctor administers local anesthesia by injecting anesthetic around the patient's nasal cavity using a syringe.

2. A nasal endoscope is inserted through the anterior nares into the nasal cavity and sinuses. A probe is then used to locate the base of the nasal polyp. A polypectomy loop is placed around the polyp's stalk, and the wire is tightened to completely remove the polyp.

3. After removing the nasal polyps, some sinus openings become visible. These openings are enlarged to clear any remaining polyps and pus within the sinuses.

4. At the end of the surgery, the surgeon checks for any residual polyps or pus, and packs the nasal cavity with Vaseline gauze strips or expandable sponge materials.

Postoperatively, during daily dressing changes, monitor for nasal bleeding and possible adhesions. If adhesions occur, observe for up to two weeks. If residual polyps are found, a second surgery should be considered.
