Introduction
Increased and thickened secretions may be caused by physiological factors or pathological conditions, such as trichomoniasis vaginitis or endometritis. If influenced by psychological factors, dietary factors, or others leading to elevated estrogen levels in the body, follicular cells may be stimulated to discharge externally, resulting in increased and viscous secretions—a normal physiological phenomenon.

Increased and thickened discharge may be caused by physiological factors or pathological conditions, such as trichomonas vaginitis, endometritis, etc. The specific analysis is as follows:

I. Physiological Factors

If influenced by psychological stress, diet, or other factors leading to elevated estrogen levels in the body, follicular cells may be stimulated to expel from the body, resulting in increased and viscous discharge. This is considered a normal physiological phenomenon.

II. Pathological Factors

1. Trichomonas Vaginitis

Trichomonas vaginitis is usually caused by infection with Trichomonas vaginalis. Under pathogen invasion, patients may experience the aforementioned symptoms in the vaginal area. Treatment may include medications such as metronidazole suppositories or tinidazole tablets, as directed by a physician.

2. Endometritis

When external pathogens enter the uterine cavity through the vagina, bloodstream, or lymphatic system, they may cause endometritis. Inflammatory factors can then stimulate the endometrium, leading to this symptom. Prompt treatment under medical guidance with medications such as cefixime capsules or ceftriaxone sodium for injection is necessary.

In addition, increased and thickened discharge could also result from cervical inflammation, cervical polyps, cervical cancer, or other conditions. It is recommended to maintain good personal hygiene in daily life.
