Introduction
Medications commonly used to treat excessive sebum secretion include isotretinoin soft capsules, vitamin B2 tablets, and vitamin B6 tablets. Isotretinoin soft capsules can shrink sebaceous gland tissue, suppress sebaceous gland activity, and reduce sebum production. They also decrease keratinization of epithelial cells and inhibit the proliferation of Propionibacterium acnes and other bacteria, primarily used for treating moderate to severe acne or nodular cystic acne.

Medications commonly used to treat excessive sebaceous gland secretion include isotretinoin soft capsules, vitamin B2 tablets, and vitamin B6 tablets. Details are as follows:

1. Isotretinoin Soft Capsules

These can shrink sebaceous gland tissue, suppress sebaceous gland activity, and reduce sebum production. They also decrease keratinization of epithelial cells and inhibit the proliferation of Propionibacterium acnes and other bacteria. They are primarily used to treat moderate to severe acne or nodular cystic acne.

2. Vitamin B2 Tablets

This is typically a member of the vitamin B complex family and has various physiological functions. Regarding skin health, it helps protect the follicular mucosa on the skin surface, nourishes the skin, and enhances sebaceous gland function. It can also effectively improve skin appearance, making it whiter, smoother, and more moisturized.

3. Vitamin B6 Tablets

Their main functions include participation in certain metabolic processes and antibody synthesis, as well as maintaining normal neurological function. They can also be used to treat oral inflammation and alleviate skin peeling.

In addition to the medications mentioned above, spironolactone tablets, cyproterone acetate-ethinylestradiol tablets, and viaminester capsules may also be used. These should only be taken under the guidance of a physician to avoid self-medication.
