Introduction
Untreated chyluria may allow survival from 1 month to over 10 years. If chyluria is caused by filariasis or parasitic infection, patients generally survive more than 10 years and may even have a normal life expectancy, as the condition does not typically affect lifespan. This is because filariasis or parasites cause lymphangitis, leading to obstruction of lymphatic vessels and subsequent backflow of chyle into the urine, resulting in chyluria.

If chyluria is caused by filariasis or parasitic infection, patients generally survive for more than 10 years and may even have a normal life expectancy. This is because filariasis or parasites cause lymphangitis leading to lymphatic obstruction, which results in chyle refluxing into the urine, forming chyluria. This condition typically does not significantly affect overall health, allowing long-term survival. If chyluria results from tuberculous infection causing lymphatic obstruction and subsequent backflow of chyle into the urine, patients can also usually survive long-term after appropriate anti-tuberculosis treatment. However, if chyluria is due to malignant tumors invading the thoracic duct, life expectancy may be significantly affected, with survival typically lasting over one month.

In daily life, it's important to develop healthy eating habits. Avoid foods high in fat, calories, and sugar, such as chocolate, cream cakes, ice cream, barbecue, and fried foods.
