Introduction
In general, possible causes of pharyngeal follicular hyperplasia may include food irritation, upper airway cough syndrome, recurrent stimulation from chronic lower respiratory inflammation, gastroesophageal reflux, and repeated acute inflammation, among others. Targeted treatment is required accordingly. It should be noted that if a patient has severe symptoms or prolonged duration, timely medical consultation is recommended for further diagnosis and treatment to avoid delaying the condition.

Under normal circumstances, possible causes of pharyngeal lymphoid follicle hyperplasia may include food irritation, upper airway cough syndrome, repeated stimulation from chronic lower respiratory inflammation, gastroesophageal reflux, and recurrent acute inflammation. Targeted treatments are required accordingly. Specific details are as follows:

1. Food irritation

Long-term consumption of spicy or irritating foods can stimulate the pharyngeal mucosa, triggering an inflammatory response that leads to hyperplasia of pharyngeal lymphoid follicles. Patients are advised to maintain a light diet and drink plenty of water.

2. Upper airway cough syndrome

This condition is primarily characterized by chronic cough and sputum production. Clinical signs include hyperplasia of pharyngeal lymphoid follicles and pharyngeal mucosal congestion, which contribute to follicular hyperplasia. Patients are advised to take loratadine tablets as directed by a physician.

3. Recurrent stimulation from chronic lower respiratory inflammation

Chronic inflammation can lead to persistent mucosal congestion and edema, causing follicular tissue to become elevated and resulting in follicular hyperplasia. Symptoms may include dryness, itching, sore throat, and a sensation of a foreign body in the throat. Patients are advised to take antibiotics such as roxithromycin capsules or amoxicillin granules under medical guidance.

4. Gastroesophageal reflux

Acid reflux can irritate the mucosa of the throat and potentially lead to hyperplasia of pharyngeal follicles. Patients are advised to take medications such as enteric-coated rabeprazole sodium tablets or lansoprazole tablets as prescribed.

5. Recurrent stimulation from acute inflammation

Excessive smoking, overuse of the voice, and prolonged exposure to polluted air may trigger repeated episodes of acute pharyngitis, leading to hyperplasia of pharyngeal follicular tissue. Patients are advised to take medications such as amoxicillin capsules or cefixime tablets as directed by a healthcare provider.

It is important to note that if symptoms are severe or persist for an extended period, patients should seek timely medical evaluation for further diagnosis and treatment to avoid disease progression.
