Introduction
In general, mixed hemorrhoids present with symptoms such as pain during defecation, rectal bleeding, a sensation of heaviness in the anus, anal itching, and mucus discharge. Mixed hemorrhoids are caused by impaired venous return in the venous plexus near the anus. When mixed hemorrhoids occur, prolapse of hemorrhoidal tissue may happen, leading to edema of the perianal tissues and stimulation of local nerves, thereby causing pain.

Generally, mixed hemorrhoids may present with symptoms such as pain during defecation, bleeding during bowel movements, a sensation of heaviness in the anus, anal itching, and mucus discharge. Specific analysis is as follows:

1. Pain during defecation: Mixed hemorrhoids are caused by impaired venous blood return in the venous plexus around the anus. When mixed hemorrhoids occur, prolapse of hemorrhoidal masses may lead to tissue edema at the anal opening, stimulating local nerves and causing pain.

2. Bleeding during defecation: If excessive straining occurs during bowel movements or if hard stool damages the mucosa, the dilated blood vessels may rupture and bleed, resulting in blood appearing in the stool.

3. Sensation of anal fullness or heaviness: If the internal hemorrhoidal mass becomes inflamed, it may become congested and swollen, stimulating nearby sensory nerves and causing a feeling of fullness or pressure in the anus.

4. Anal itching: In severe cases of mixed hemorrhoids, relaxation of the anal sphincter muscle may occur, leading to increased secretions. These secretions can irritate the skin and cause anal itching.

5. Mucus discharge: Prolonged irritation of the rectal mucosa by hemorrhoidal masses may trigger inflammatory exudation, increasing secretion. This may result in foul-smelling discharge that soils clothing.

If mixed hemorrhoids develop, it is recommended to use medications such as Ma Ying Long Musk Hemorrhoid Ointment or Huaijiao Pills under the guidance of a physician.
