Introduction
In general, a vaginal cleanliness grade of III and elevated white blood cells may be caused by poor hygiene, altered microecology, endometritis, cervicitis, or pelvic inflammatory disease. If the patient experiences any discomfort, it is recommended to seek timely medical evaluation at a hospital to avoid delaying treatment. It is advisable to develop good hygiene habits and maintain cleanliness. Avoid sexual intercourse during menstruation and minimize invasive procedures.

In general, a vaginal cleanliness grade III with elevated white blood cells may be caused by poor hygiene, microbial imbalance, endometritis, cervicitis, or pelvic inflammatory disease. If the patient experiences discomfort symptoms, it is recommended to seek timely medical attention at a hospital to avoid delaying treatment. Specific analysis is as follows:

1. Poor Hygiene

If the patient does not pay attention to vulvar cleanliness and hygiene and fails to perform regular cleaning, it can affect the cleanliness of the vulva. It is recommended to wash the vulva daily with warm boiled water and change into cotton underwear regularly, which helps improve cleanliness.

2. Microbial Imbalance

A cleanliness grade III with elevated white blood cells indicates suboptimal vaginal cleanliness. The vagina normally contains a balanced microbial flora. In the absence of other symptoms, this condition is often due to alterations in the microecology and usually does not require special concern. With improved hygiene, the condition tends to resolve naturally.

3. Endometritis

Pathogenic microorganisms such as Escherichia coli or Neisseria gonorrhoeae invade the uterine cavity, causing inflammatory changes in the endometrium. Inflammatory cells are discharged through the cervix and mix with vaginal discharge, resulting in increased turbidity and higher white blood cell counts. Patients may follow medical advice to use medications such as metronidazole tablets, Jinguanteng capsules, or azithromycin capsules for treatment.

4. Cervicitis

The cervix may show signs of congestion and erosion-like changes, possibly accompanied by pain during intercourse, vaginal bleeding outside the menstrual period, or lower back and abdominal aching. These conditions may also lead to the aforementioned findings. Treatment may include medications such as levofloxacin tablets, Gongyan Kang granules, or cefprozil granules as recommended.

5. Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID)

Increased shedding of cells leads to excessive secretions and yellowish vaginal discharge, often accompanied by lower abdominal pain, fever, and urinary difficulties. Patients may follow medical guidance to use medications such as Fuke Qianjin tablets, Jinji capsules, or Qianjin Zhidai pills for treatment.

It is recommended to develop good hygiene habits and maintain cleanliness. Avoid sexual intercourse during menstruation and minimize invasive procedures.
