How to manage hydrogen sulfide poisoning
Under normal circumstances, after hydrogen sulfide poisoning, the patient should be moved to a safe area, kept with an open airway, have contaminated clothing rinsed off, and be kept warm. The specific procedures are as follows:
1. Prepare cold water, move the patient upwind away from the scene to an area with fresh air, and call 120 immediately.
2. Loosen the patient's collar to maintain an open airway.
3. If there is skin contact, quickly remove contaminated clothing and thoroughly rinse the affected areas with running water.
4. At the same time, ensure that the patient is kept warm.
Note: The above measures are effective for mild poisoning cases. However, if respiratory arrest occurs, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) immediately, while ensuring the rescuer's own safety. If you regularly work with or are exposed to hydrogen sulfide, it is recommended to take adequate protective measures to prevent poisoning incidents.
