Introduction
If a tuberculosis (TB) patient has received standardized anti-TB treatment, the Mycobacterium tuberculosis in their body can be effectively controlled. In such cases, the patient is no longer infectious and isolation is not necessary. However, if the patient has not received proper anti-TB treatment, the TB bacteria remain active and the patient is highly contagious, thus requiring isolation.
