Introduction
In general, diarrhea with loose stools may be caused by irregular eating habits, excessive fluid intake, unhygienic food, indigestion, enteritis, and other factors. Treatment methods may include general management and medication. In daily life, it is important to maintain a balanced diet, avoid overexertion, pay attention to bodily changes, and promptly adjust作息 (daily routines) and eating habits.

Diarrhea, commonly referred to as loose stools, may be caused by irregular eating habits, excessive fluid intake, unhygienic food, indigestion, enteritis, and other factors. If discomfort occurs, it is recommended to seek medical attention promptly. The specific causes are analyzed as follows:

1. Irregular Diet

Consuming too much high-fiber food or having an irregular diet may shorten the time food residue remains in the intestines, leading to diarrhea and loose stools. It is advisable to adjust the dietary structure, moderately reduce intake of high-fiber foods, and maintain regular meal patterns.

2. Excessive Fluid Intake

Suddenly drinking large amounts of water may exceed the intestine's absorption capacity, causing excess water to pass directly into the large intestine and resulting in diarrhea and loose stools. Gradually increase fluid intake and avoid consuming large volumes of water at once.

3. Unhygienic Food

Consuming contaminated food may lead to infection with pathogenic bacteria such as Escherichia coli or Salmonella, causing intestinal infection and the aforementioned symptoms. It is recommended to choose light, easily digestible foods and avoid greasy, spicy, raw, or cold foods.

4. Indigestion

Insufficient gastrointestinal motility, inadequate gastric acid secretion, or consumption of hard-to-digest foods may all contribute to indigestion. This can cause food to remain in the stomach for prolonged periods, impairing normal intestinal absorption and excretion, thus leading to diarrhea and loose stools. Symptoms such as bloating and belching may also occur. Patients may take medications such as Jianwei Xiaoshi Tablets, Hawthorn Pills, or Zhishi Daozhi Pills under a doctor’s guidance.

5. Enteritis

Infections caused by viruses, bacteria, or parasites may lead to enteritis, damaging the intestinal mucosa and affecting the intestine's absorption and secretion functions, thereby causing the above symptoms. Additional symptoms may include abdominal pain and fever. It is recommended to take medications such as Bifidobacterium Tristrain Powder, Lactasin Tablets, or Changyanning Granules under medical supervision.

In daily life, maintain a balanced diet, avoid excessive fatigue, pay attention to bodily changes, and promptly adjust作息 (sleep-wake cycles) and eating habits.
