Introduction
The pentavalent vaccine generally contains components for immunization against five diseases: pertussis, diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis, and Haemophilus influenzae type B. Among these, the inactivated poliovirus vaccine (IPV) is an inactivated vaccine used to prevent poliomyelitis. If a child has completed the full course of the pentavalent vaccine according to the immunization schedule, there is no need to administer the inactivated poliovirus vaccine separately.

The "pentavalent vaccine" refers to a combination vaccine that usually includes protection against five diseases. "IPV" typically refers to the inactivated poliovirus vaccine. Generally, the inactivated poliovirus vaccine does not need to be administered separately after receiving the pentavalent vaccine. However, under certain special circumstances, an additional dose of the inactivated poliovirus vaccine might be necessary.

The pentavalent vaccine generally includes components for protection against five diseases: pertussis, diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis, and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib). Among these, the inactivated poliovirus vaccine is an inactivated vaccine used to prevent poliomyelitis. If a child has completed the full course of pentavalent vaccine according to the immunization schedule, they have already acquired protection against poliomyelitis and do not need to receive the inactivated poliovirus vaccine separately.

However, it should be noted that there are versions of pentavalent vaccines that do not include this component. For example, some pentavalent vaccines may only contain combination vaccines for five diseases such as diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (DTaP), tetanus, diphtheria, Hib, and pneumococcal disease. In such cases, the inactivated poliovirus vaccine still needs to be administered according to the recommended schedule after receiving the pentavalent vaccine. It is advisable to consult professional healthcare providers or staff at vaccination centers to understand the specific components and vaccination schedule of the pentavalent vaccine being administered.

If any adverse symptoms occur, it is recommended to seek medical attention at a hospital promptly and follow the doctor's instructions for treatment.
