Introduction
In general, miscarriage refers to spontaneous abortion or early pregnancy termination. Common symptoms of spontaneous abortion include vaginal bleeding, lower abdominal pain or back pain, increased vaginal discharge, disappearance of early pregnancy symptoms, and cervical dilation. If any discomfort occurs, it is recommended to seek medical attention promptly. When pregnant women experience the aforementioned symptoms, timely related examinations should be conducted to understand the development of the embryo.

Generally, miscarriage refers to spontaneous abortion or early pregnancy termination. Common symptoms of spontaneous abortion include vaginal bleeding, lower abdominal pain or back pain, increased vaginal discharge, disappearance of early pregnancy symptoms, and cervical dilation. If discomfort occurs, timely medical attention is recommended. Detailed analysis is as follows:

1. Vaginal Bleeding

After a spontaneous abortion, the embryo's implantation is unstable, and some of the endometrium may shed, causing vaginal bleeding. The bleeding can range from spotting to heavy bright red bleeding. Treatment should be promptly administered according to medical advice, including medications such as oxytocin injection, carboprost methylate suppository, and ritodrine hydrochloride tablets.

2. Lower Abdominal Pain or Back Pain

During a spontaneous abortion, the uterus contracts vigorously due to stimulation, causing lower abdominal pain that may radiate to the back or腰部. Immediate bed rest is advised, and strenuous activity should be avoided to prevent exacerbating the pain.

3. Increased Vaginal Discharge

When the fetal membranes rupture and amniotic fluid leaks out, pregnant women may suddenly feel vaginal discharge, which may contain blood streaks or appear brownish. It is recommended to stop all activity immediately and elevate both legs. If the discharge is minimal, gentle cleansing with warm water may help reduce infection risk.

4. Disappearance of Early Pregnancy Symptoms

Pregnant women typically experience symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and breast tenderness during early pregnancy. These symptoms will usually subside or disappear following a spontaneous abortion. Treatment should be administered according to medical instructions, including medications such as progesterone suppositories, dydrogesterone tablets, and medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets.

5. Cervical Dilation

If a spontaneous abortion lasts for an extended period, the cervix may gradually soften and dilate, allowing the embryo or fetus to be expelled. In cases of retained intrauterine tissue, a dilation and curettage (D&C) procedure is recommended under medical guidance, which uses vacuum aspiration to remove residual embryonic tissue.

Pregnant women experiencing the above symptoms should undergo appropriate medical examinations promptly to assess embryonic development. Once a spontaneous abortion is confirmed, treatment should strictly follow medical guidance.
