Introduction
Under normal circumstances, strong desire is generally a manifestation of Yin deficiency, and more specifically, kidney Yin deficiency. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yin deficiency is primarily caused by insufficient Yin fluids, which leads to a failure in nourishing the body and restraining Yang, resulting in a series of syndromes. In the case of kidney Yin deficiency, the insufficiency of kidney Yin leads to malnourishment of the body, and Yin's inability to restrain Yang results in internal generation of deficient fire, which in turn stimulates an increase in sexual desire.

Generally speaking, strong sexual desire is often a manifestation of Yin deficiency, particularly kidney Yin deficiency. If discomfort occurs, it is recommended to seek medical advice promptly. Detailed analysis is as follows:

In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), Yin deficiency primarily refers to insufficient body fluids, resulting in an inability to nourish the body and control Yang, thus causing a series of related syndromes. In the case of kidney Yin deficiency, insufficient kidney Yin leads to inadequate nourishment of the body and an inability of Yin to restrain Yang, resulting in internal heat due to deficiency, which in turn stimulates an increased sexual desire. Furthermore, according to TCM theory, the kidney governs water, the heart governs fire, and the heart also controls mental activities. Deficiency of kidney essence may lead to excessive heart fire and disharmony between water and fire, which may also result in excessive sexual desire.

In addition to heightened sexual desire, individuals with kidney Yin deficiency often experience symptoms such as soreness and weakness in the lower back and knees, insomnia with frequent dreams, dizziness, dry mouth and throat, feverish sensations in the palms, soles, and chest, irritability, night sweats, dry stools, yellow urine, and tinnitus. Men may experience symptoms such as low semen volume, nocturnal emission, and insufficient blood in semen, while women may experience reduced menstrual flow or amenorrhea.

Yang deficiency usually refers specifically to kidney Yang deficiency. The main manifestation of kidney Yang deficiency is decreased sexual desire rather than increased desire. Patients with kidney Yang deficiency may also experience symptoms such as dry and hard stools, yellow and scanty urine, lackluster complexion, fatigue, cold intolerance, and increased frequency of urination. Patients with kidney Yin deficiency may, under medical guidance, take medications such as Qiju Dihuang Pills, Liwei Dihuang Pills, or Dabuyin Pills to nourish kidney Yin and clear internal heat.
