Lychee is a common fruit that contains abundant nutrients such as protein, dietary fiber, and vitamins. When lymph nodes are inflamed, moderate consumption of lychee by patients can help replenish essential nutrients, supporting basic physiological functions and immunity. Lychee is not classified as a spicy or irritating food; therefore, patients may consume it in moderation during lymph node inflammation.

If symptoms of lymphadenitis are mild and the patient does not exhibit significant signs of inflammation or fever, moderate consumption of lychee typically does not negatively affect the condition. Lychee is rich in vitamin C and water, which helps replenish nutrients and promote metabolism. However, it should not be consumed on an empty stomach to avoid gastrointestinal irritation.

Although lychee is nutritious, it contains a high amount of sugar. Therefore, it is recommended that patients limit their daily intake to about three lychees to avoid excessive sugar consumption, which may adversely affect health. If the patient has diabetes, excessive lychee consumption may cause fluctuations in blood glucose levels due to its high sugar content.
