Introduction
“Pimples” commonly refer to acne. Generally, drinking infusions made from roses, chrysanthemums, honey, hawthorn, and lemon may help alleviate acne. Lemon water can promote digestion, stimulate saliva production, quench thirst, accelerate the elimination of metabolic waste and toxins from the body, support skin health, and thus aid in improving acne. However, lemon is acidic, and excessive consumption may irritate the gastric mucosa; therefore, it should be consumed in moderation.

“Pimples” commonly refer to acne. Generally, drinking infusions made from rose petals, chrysanthemum flowers, honey, hawthorn berries, and lemon may help alleviate acne. A detailed analysis follows:

  1. Rose Petals

Rose petal infusion helps regulate endocrine function and exerts a “heat-clearing” effect, thereby improving acne symptoms. However, consumption should be moderate—excessive intake is not recommended.

  2. Chrysanthemum Flowers

Chrysanthemum has liver-calming, vision-enhancing, and heat-clearing properties. Moderate consumption can promote metabolism and facilitate the elimination of internal toxins, thus supporting skin health and beauty and helping suppress acne development to some extent. As chrysanthemum is slightly cooling in nature, individuals with a constitutionally cold or deficient-yang constitution should avoid excessive intake.

  3. Honey

Honey contains glucose, fructose, vitamins, amino acids, minerals, and other nutrients that help regulate endocrine function, accelerate skin cell turnover, lubricate the intestines, relieve constipation, and aid in toxin elimination—thereby promoting skin stability. However, individuals with diabetes should avoid honey-infused water.

  4. Hawthorn Berries

Hawthorn contains malic acid, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), sugars, and various proteins, which help reduce excess sebum production and rapidly clear oily buildup. It also assists in eliminating residual metabolic waste and toxins, contributing to detoxification, skin rejuvenation, and acne reduction. Due to its sour taste, individuals with excessive gastric acid secretion should avoid overconsumption.

  5. Lemon

Lemon water promotes digestion, stimulates salivation, quenches thirst, accelerates elimination of metabolic waste and toxins, and supports skin health and beauty—thus aiding acne improvement. However, because lemon is highly acidic, excessive consumption may irritate the gastric mucosa; therefore, intake should be moderate.

In daily life, maintaining thorough facial cleansing and skincare, adhering to a light diet, and ensuring regular sleep patterns are all essential for optimal skin health.
