Third, exudative diarrhea arises from intestinal mucosal damage caused by various factors, resulting in mucopurulent or bloody stools. Fourth, osmotic diarrhea frequently occurs secondary to maldigestion, with undigested food particles visibly present in the stool.

If a patient experiences recurrent diarrhea, they should pay close attention to dietary habits in daily life, since individuals with diarrhea typically have weakened gastrointestinal function. They should consume easily digestible foods and avoid excessively oily, cold, or spicy items—opting instead for light, bland meals. Porridge, for instance, helps patients rapidly replenish nutrients while exerting minimal irritation on the digestive tract, making it suitable for most patients in everyday life.
