How to Measure Heart Rate
Disease description:
Recently, my brother has been feeling uncomfortable in his chest, but he refuses to go to the hospital for evaluation. Could you please tell me how to measure heart rate?
This condition requires a hospital examination, including auscultation by a physician to assess the heart rate (beats per minute). If a cardiac issue is suspected, it is recommended to consult the Department of Cardiology for further evaluation and relevant diagnostic tests, such as: complete blood count (CBC), electrocardiogram (ECG), chest X-ray, echocardiography, carotid artery ultrasound, and 24-hour Holter monitoring—to establish a definitive diagnosis and initiate appropriate treatment.
Please ensure adequate rest, avoid overexertion, follow a light diet, and refrain from spicy, stimulating, or greasy foods. Smoking and alcohol consumption should also be avoided.
