Dr. Zhang Hongxia
Elevated hemoglobin levels can occur in two scenarios: one is physiological—such as in individuals who sweat excessively, which may lead to a mild increase in hemoglobin without serious clinical implications. However, markedly elevated hemoglobin levels may suggest underlying conditions such as emphysema, bronchitis, or renal disease. Further diagnostic evaluation is recommended. In the absence of respiratory symptoms like cough or other airway-related manifestations, renal malignancy should be considered.
