What should I do if I have enlarged cervical and abdominal lymph nodes?
Disease description:
Every morning, I frequently feel generally unwell. While washing my face or taking a shower, I notice swelling in my neck and groin areas. The swollen areas are painless and feel firm to the touch. After consulting a doctor and undergoing examinations, I was diagnosed with lymphadenopathy (enlarged lymph nodes). What should I do?
There are numerous causes of cervical and inguinal lymphadenopathy. If a patient presents with enlarged cervical or inguinal lymph nodes, initial management may include a trial of anti-inflammatory medication for symptomatic relief. However, if symptoms persist or worsen, prompt medical evaluation at a hospital is recommended, followed by active, physician-guided treatment. In daily life, patients should follow a light, balanced diet—avoiding raw, cold, greasy, spicy, or otherwise irritating foods—and ensure adequate nutritional intake.
