Cervical lymphadenopathy can be treated through pharmacotherapy, fine-needle aspiration, and other modalities. The primary causes of cervical lymph node enlargement are inflammation or neoplasms. If pharmacotherapy is indicated, antibiotics or antiviral agents—such as cefixime, amoxicillin, or ribavirin—may be prescribed under a physician’s guidance, primarily targeting the underlying inflammatory process. In cases where lymphadenopathy results from a neoplasm, fine-needle aspiration biopsy is required to determine the nature of the tumor and guide appropriate treatment.
