Persistent numbness in the feet may result from lower-limb arterial occlusion or venous disorders, leading to inadequate blood supply to or impaired venous return from the lower limbs. It may also stem from inflammatory conditions affecting the lower limbs or soft tissues. Additionally, peripheral neuropathy—or more specifically, distal (or peripheral) neuritis—is a common cause and warrants heightened vigilance.
