Disease description:

My spouse and I have been trying to conceive for six months without success. This time, we specifically timed intercourse to coincide with ovulation. Could you please advise: How soon after ovulation can an early pregnancy test detect pregnancy?

Early pregnancy test strips can be used as early as ten days after intercourse during the ovulation period. If fertilization occurs earlier, the test may detect it. However, in most cases, this timeframe may still be too short for hCG levels in urine to rise sufficiently, potentially yielding a negative result. For optimal accuracy, it is best to use an early pregnancy test strip about one week after a missed period.
