Nasal bone protrusion may result from traumatic deformity. Following nasal trauma, nasal collapse or deviation commonly occurs. Deviation typically arises when one side of the nasal bone collapses, causing the contralateral nasal bone to appear prominent. Additionally, if nasal cartilage fractures occur, mid-nasal depression may develop, leading to apparent prominence of the nasal bone above the depressed area. Furthermore, post-traumatic osteophyte formation—due to various factors—can also cause nasal bone protrusion.
