Do heaters emit radiation?

I am currently 23 weeks pregnant. Over the past two days, I have been staying in my hometown, where there is no air conditioning, so I’ve been using an electric heater. I’m therefore curious and would like to ask whether electric heaters emit radiation.

Heaters—including electric heaters, “mini-sun” radiant heaters, and underfloor heating systems—all emit radiation; however, this radiation is exclusively infrared radiation—not the same as X-rays used in hospitals or nuclear radiation. In general, any object that generates heat emits some level of infrared radiation, which typically has no adverse effect on the human body. Therefore, the radiation emitted by electric heaters can be safely disregarded during normal use.
