What Are the Common Diseases of the Sole?
Disease description:
I’ve had recurrent corns on my feet that have never been completely cured. Could you please tell me what common foot conditions typically affect the soles?
There are many types of skin diseases affecting the soles of the feet, with three of the most common being tinea pedis (athlete’s foot), eczema, and dyshidrotic eczema. Tinea pedis is typically caused by a fungal infection and tends to occur in warm, humid conditions; symptoms include itching, scaling, and blistering on the feet. Eczema is an allergic skin condition that can also cause itching on the feet, commonly triggered by allergens such as certain foods, dust, dyes, or adhesives. Dyshidrotic eczema is characterized by clusters of small, deep-seated blisters and intense pruritus, and is associated with environmental allergies and psychological factors. We hope this information is helpful. Wishing you good health!
