How to treat heat rash in children
Disease description:
My sister’s child has developed redness on the skin along with itching. My mother says it’s heat rash. How should heat rash in children be treated?
Children with heat rash (miliaria) may use medications that reduce swelling and relieve itching, such as menthol or calamine lotion. Alternatively, purslane decoction can be prepared, cooled, and applied to the affected area using a cold compress—this also effectively alleviates itching. Applying baby powder to areas affected by heat rash helps keep the skin cool and dry. Ensure frequent bathing and regular clothing changes for the child, and avoid exposing them to hot, humid environments.
