What Are the Early Symptoms of Psoriasis?
Disease description:
My grandmother has developed psoriasis, and it is currently in its early stage. What symptoms typically appear in the early stage of psoriasis?
In the early stage of psoriasis, patients typically develop red papules of varying sizes, which can appear on any part of the body—most commonly in a symmetrical distribution. As the condition progresses, these lesions may coalesce into discrete, drop-like or coin-shaped red plaques. Early manifestations are often mild; however, without timely intervention, symptoms may worsen significantly, potentially leading to erosion, exudation, and intense pruritus.
