After visiting a nearby hospital for evaluation, he was diagnosed with pediatric attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). He frequently blinks—especially when anxious or stressed. This may be due to conditions such as conjunctivitis, visual fatigue, or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in the child. Encourage the child to drink plenty of warm water daily. Maintain good ocular hygiene—avoid letting the child use smartphones, computers, or televisions; limit screen time as much as possible. Instead, encourage the child to look into the distance frequently, engage with green plants, and perform regular warm compresses and gentle eye massages. Additionally, anti-inflammatory eye drops may be used as appropriate.
ADHD in children has multiple contributing factors and typically requires a comprehensive treatment approach, including behavioral therapy, psychological interventions, and, when indicated, pharmacotherapy.
