The goal of treating tenosynovitis is to alleviate pain and inflammation and restore normal function. Treatment methods include rest, immobilization, local application of heat, oral nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), topical anti-inflammatory and analgesic creams, and physical therapy (e.g., laser therapy, ultrasound therapy, and stretching exercises). Additionally, for some patients, localized corticosteroid injections may yield excellent results. If conservative treatments fail, surgical intervention—specifically, excision of the constricted portion of the tendon sheath—may be considered. Wishing you good health.
