Lumbar disc herniation rarely causes sacroiliac joint pain. Lumbar disc herniation and sacroiliac joint subluxation are distinct conditions. While sacroiliac joint subluxation may potentially contribute to lumbar disc herniation, lumbar disc herniation itself does not cause joint displacement or misalignment. If the herniation is mild and the affected area is relatively small, manual therapy (e.g., spinal manipulation) may be appropriate, combined with traditional Chinese medicine modalities such as acupuncture, moxibustion, and cupping. In daily life, take precautions to keep your abdomen warm—avoid exposure to cold, prolonged sitting, crossing your legs, mopping floors, or sitting on overly soft or excessively low chairs. Sleep on a firm mattress. Wishing you good health!
