Jujube seeds contain abundant organic acids, which can stimulate salivary secretion. Soaking jujube seeds in water for drinking may help alleviate insomnia. Jujube seeds possess a relatively neutral medicinal property and do not generate excess internal heat (fire). However, consuming jujube seeds alone may cause the body’s internal fire to dissipate outward, thereby exacerbating symptoms of excessive heat; therefore, they should be combined with other foods or herbs to achieve balanced supplementation.
