To check for HIV/AIDS, you should visit the Department of Infectious Diseases at a local hospital for testing. Generally, if you suspect HIV infection, you need to go to a hospital for a blood test to detect HIV antibodies. If the initial test result is positive or indeterminate, the sample must be sent to the local Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for confirmatory testing to definitively diagnose HIV infection.
