Disease description:

My daughter frequently experiences tooth pain, yet she has no cavities. I would like to know what could cause toothache in children who do not have dental caries.

A child without dental caries may still experience toothache, which could be caused by “excessive internal heat” (a traditional Chinese medicine concept), tooth wear, pulpitis, or hidden tooth cracks. Inadequate oral hygiene in daily life can also contribute to this issue. During tooth eruption, the tooth must break through the gums, making the gingiva more susceptible to bacterial infection and resulting in tooth pain.
