I’ve felt some itching down there over the past couple of days. A friend mentioned that pseudocondyloma (pseudo-warts) can cause itching—I’m not sure whether pseudocondyloma actually causes itching.

Clinically, “pseudo-genital warts” are correctly termed “pseudo-warts.” Whether pseudo-warts cause pruritus (itching) depends on individual circumstances. Patients with robust immune function and strong natural resistance typically do not experience itching. However, in cases of more severe disease or compromised immunity, itching is likely to occur. If the affected area is kept clean and dry, itching generally does not occur. Conversely, poor local hygiene combined with prolonged wearing of tight-fitting clothing may exert pressure on the lesions and lead to pruritus.
