Can pull-up bar exercises treat frozen shoulder?
Disease description:
I have suffered from periarthritis of the shoulder (frozen shoulder) year-round. A friend suggested that exercise could help treat it. So, may I ask: Can pull-up bar exercises treat periarthritis of the shoulder?
Pull-up bar exercises for treating adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder). During the initial phase of exercise, a lower-height pull-up bar is selected. As the range of motion of the shoulder joint gradually improves, the height of the bar is progressively increased until the upper limb can be fully elevated. However, if adhesive capsulitis is severe—manifesting as widespread redness, swelling, pain in the shoulder joint or marked functional impairment limiting shoulder motion to less than 90 degrees—the pull-up bar exercise offers minimal benefit and may exacerbate inflammation.
