Disease description:

Five months ago, I was diagnosed with hepatitis C. I was told that without treatment, it could lead to liver cancer and cirrhosis. Therefore, I would like to ask: What are the clinical symptoms of hepatitis C?

Common symptoms include generalized malaise, occasional nausea, fatigue, and loss of appetite. The disease is highly insidious; symptoms become particularly prominent after the virus invades the liver, yet infected individuals often remain unaware. Without timely treatment, the condition may progress to hepatitis C–related cirrhosis. Unlike ordinary fatigue, the fatigue experienced by hepatitis C patients persists despite adequate rest—a hallmark and most commonly overlooked early symptom of hepatitis C.
