I recently developed some red patches on my skin with white scales on the surface. After scraping off the scales, there is pinpoint bleeding. I'm wondering if this could be psoriasis. What are the initial symptoms of psoriasis?

Psoriasis, medically known as psoriasis vulgaris, is a common chronic, recurrent skin disease.
The initial manifestations may include a few isolated red patches, or a sudden outbreak of widespread red patches all over the body. These red patches may appear round or oval-shaped with varying sizes, but typically have well-defined borders. On the basis of these red patches, psoriatic skin will develop white or grayish-white scales.
These scales may shed easily, particularly when scratched, crumbling into flakes and exposing a淡红色半透明薄膜. Some patients may experience noticeable itching, especially during dry or cold seasons. Additionally, certain lesions might cause pain or a burning sensation, particularly in more severely affected areas.
Symptoms of psoriasis vary from person to person; some patients may only exhibit mild skin changes in the early stages, which can be barely noticeable. Therefore, if any of the above symptoms are detected, it is recommended to seek timely medical attention for diagnosis and treatment by a qualified physician.
