AIDS may trigger Ménière’s disease. The causes of Ménière’s disease are diverse and include congenital maldevelopment of the ear, inner ear circulatory disorders, and viral infections, among others. Ménière’s disease can lead to persistent tinnitus, recurrent episodes of vertigo, and even severe sensorineural hearing loss, significantly impairing the patient’s quality of life. Patients are advised to seek prompt medical evaluation at a hospital.
