It is safe to take. This medication has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects; oral administration can provide a certain degree of fever reduction. If your baby’s temperature exceeds 38.5°C, an antipyretic may be administered—such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen—by mouth. While taking antipyretics, it is advisable to drink additional plain water, which helps accelerate systemic blood circulation and thereby supports fever reduction.
