Disease description:
When my baby coughs, they also have a runny nose and mild tearing. Is this condition serious? What causes coughing, rhinorrhea, and tearing in infants?
Common causes include viral infections, inflammatory irritation leading to mucosal swelling and increased secretions, as well as exposure to chemical fumes, pollen, and other allergens. Ensure your baby drinks plenty of fluids, maintain clean indoor air, and avoid exposing your baby to irritating chemical fumes. Oral administration of pediatric paracetamol–artemisinin–chlorpheniramine granules is recommended; additionally, loratadine syrup and vitamin C chewable tablets may be given.
